Whats up w/ batcap wiring?

whats goin on with this wiring technique?
http://www.batcap.net/Installation.htm

They say that you should have a ground going from the battery in front all the way through to the amp, kind of like a closed system? the install they say is "OK" is the one prob most people do, either that or the "never" one. but theres no way I'm going to run 0 gauge power & ground from the front to the back. just wondering if anybody knows why they recommend this and what the benefits are compared to normal.

I looked at that diagram and I dont know what to think. If this is the same as a normal cap then I would run the power into the cap 1st and then from the cap to the amp. For the ground I would run it from the chasis to the cap and from the cap to the amp. they dont want u to do the "never" hookup because it would most likely create too much noise and possiably create a ground loop.

It tells you right there on number "3. The least voltage drop can be achieved by running the negative wire from the car battery, equal
in size to the positive run, all the way to the amps. Copper conducts dramatically better than
steel. (Ignore statements to the contrary) When grounding your BATCAP, avoid chassis grounds."

it looks like if you follow their directions, you would screw up your whole electrical system, because the chassis wont be a ground for everything else that relies on 12 volts. Unless you grounded your battery to the chassis as well to the batcap

usafcushman is on a distinguished road
here ya go...this is how mine used to be integrated into my system...the thicker cables are 4-gauge, and the thinner cables are 8-gauge (the key in the top left corner is kinda hard to read)...my new distro blocks allow for the use of all 4-gauge cable (which i recommend), but when i ran the system like in the diagram below, i had no problems at all...make sure you use an inline fuse equal to the one under your hood inline between the BatCap and distro block, just in case your ground shorts out or something...my ground shorted out and i wasn't running a fuse, and i fried an $800 amp...so better safe than sorry...hope this helps...hit me up with a rep point if ya can, this $hit took a long time to draw up in Paint!...good luck!

oh, and if you need links or pics or whatever of what kinds of distro blocks i'm talking about or anything else like that, PM me, and i'll get back to you ASAP...
