How do I tell if I have camber kits?

Last year I was in a minor accident that screwed up my alignment. When they couldn't get it aligned properly they said I needed a camber kit to adjust the front and rear. Well I'm thinking of lowering my car and don't know if I'll need a camber kit for the front and rear. I probably wont lower it that much, but it would be nice to know if I have the kits so adjustments can be made if necessary. Is there anywhere I can search on here for pictures of what a camber kit for the front and rear look like? From what I understand the kit for the rear is just a couple of bolts...any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks

The top link is the rear SPC/Eibach version, bottom link shows the front camber bolts. It will be real easy to tell if you have the rear set, a little harder on the fronts.

The OEM camber kit looks exactly the same as the SPC but less adjustibility. The front is just some special bolts.

Don't get the camber kit to fix that problem. I had that similar experience in the past & the car doesn't feel right especially on cornering. If the place couldn't align it then you probably bent something. In the past, a shop told me the samething just like what they told you when I had an accident. That was like 10 years ago, I was only a kid, I didn't know any better so I just agreed with them. After that my car just doesn't feel the same even though the alignment was fixed. It turns out that I bent my shocks & knuckle. After I replace them, the car felt like normal again so if you bent something then fix that problem first.

Thumbs up Yesshh

You should have a pro look at it or something to see what is all bent then try to find it in a junk yard and replace it urself then lower it and then get an alingment that is what id do !!!!!!!! Everytime u get into an accident no matter how hard or how slow you should atleast have some one look at it even tho u can fix it yourself beacuse things can be bent just like mm's or even like 1/4 of an inch i cant see that can u????

oh I didn't put the kits on myself, i did have the pros look at it, the collision shop is actually the one who told me i needed the kits, so i took it to my normal tire shop and had them install the kits, the camber/castor wasn't that far off so if something was bent, it wasn't too bad....if anything else, I got a free camber kit out of it....

If your going to be racing I definately reccomend a front and rear aftermarket camber kit since you have a lot more play with the kit(adjustment). How ever if your not racing and your dropping the car about 1.5 inches a rear aftermarket camber kit would be recomended to be able to adjust the alignment enough so that you don't improperly wear your tires.
