Check Engine light for brake fluid?
Hey, I just finished installing a siren in my car today with a very experienced friend. Anyways, as we began to work, he pointed out that my brake fluid was low.
We finish the job [with no splicing] and the cel comes on. Could this be b/c of the brake fluid?
I have 17,7xx miles.

first fill your brake fluid resovior and see if the light goes off. If it doesnt, then take it to autozone and have them scan your ECU to see what the problem is.

Your "Brake" light should come on if your brake fluid is low. The CEL is likely due to some other cause. Did you maybe disconnect a sensor during the install and forget to plug it back in? Is your gas cap on tight?

well take it too autozone and have them scan the ECU, then you will know your problem. Or maybe try this:
Disconnect your negative battery cable for 15 sec, then re-connect it and let the ECU reset itself and see if it goes off. You never know, it might work.
