Battery problem or something else ??? HELP !!!
Hey guys;
Today for the second time my car would not start and I had to get a jump start from someone else. And this was months inbetween the first time it happened. So how do I know if its the battery or not? (Hopefully it's not the battery cause if its anything else my car is still under warranty)
Thanks ahead of time

The battery has a little indicator on it if I'm not mistaken. I'd say have your charging system checked too, to make sure it's not the fact that your alt isn't charging the battery.

for the past 5 months my car will just randomly die at times.. my lights go dim at idol and the radio will die.. then the car. but then i restart it and its fine. i dont kno whats wrong with it so i took it to checker, they tested the battery and the alternator and said it was ok. so i dont kno what is wrong!? i have the aftermarket pullies on and i kno that puts more strain on it but still shows a good reading.. and now for the past week the car will jolt! when i stay at like 2500 rpms it will jolt cant go through the powerband smooth and it then died twice yesterday? and wouldnt restart till the 3rd time. engine light came on, and now its off and no more jolting but the car idles at like 5 or 6

its not ur battery....im 100% possitive!
just take it to honda and till them ur problem. till them TO CHECK EVERYTHING.
alternator, charging system, cables, if there s drain.
ur battery is fine!
i have the same problem w/ my car but more often. and they finally found out that there s a drain in my car.
so just take it to honda. spend more of their money

I brought my car in today ! And guess what they said ?
The voltage measures at 11.8 and its suppose to be 12.3 ?
So hes making me change battery + diagnoses charge .
Can we say thieves ?
My problem is this now is it really the battery ? I dont wanna change the battery and it that wont be the problem. I hate honda !
On top of this I brought in the TSB for the car for PIPE B problem driving in the rain. THey couldnt figure it out even though i brought in the TSB !
Honda blows ! Love the cars HATE the Service !

11.8 shows near discharged battery. But it does not mean it's bad, just drained.
If you have a Voltmeter, start the car and measure across the battery. If the altenator is working, it should read about 14 to 14.5 volts. If you get less than 12.5, the charging system is NOT working right. Therefore the battery slowly discharges to 11 volts or so.
11 volts is considered dischargd.

Ya I ended up not changing the battery they said that they would SLOW CHARGE IT for me for free ? whatever that does.. So I did it. They also said the alternator was fine.
If it happens again then I might hafta change battery ? Who knows I hope not... I thought batteries lasted a lot longer than this.

Well, my battery died twice out of nowhere. I re-charged it overnight and it's been fine for some time. I did go to an optima after the second time. The charging system checked out fine at 14.5 volts with the engine running. I really think the factory battery is of poor quality in this generation. My car has NO electrical mods, so nothing other than stock is drawing on the battery.
Posts like this is why I recomend going to an optima battery. It is pricey, but vastly superior in all aspects.
