For all the Houston People?
Since school is coming up for me, I need a job. Now I have been trying to get an automotive job through UTI where I will be going to school, But since I dont have much experience, not really any places will hire. He told me that Bill heard Cheverlet would hire, but only as a porter, and I dont want to pick up trash and what not. And I want to get an automotive job because I need 2 yrs. experience before I can get my ASE's, and the school counts as 1 yr. I have been trying to get a job at Oil change places, but none are really hiring.
So I know alot of you know what places are hiring and what not since alot of you have jobs, so let me know if you know of any good places that are hiring that make decent money. And also if you can possibly get me a job where you work at. I need to make decent money so I can start paying my loan while I am in school, since I have to. Just need a hook up. Thanks.

I guess I just need to keep looking, maybe someone on here can hook me up with a job where they work.
dude try bank of america, as a part time teller, you dont work as much, just like 20+ hours a week at $9an hour, 2G college reimburment (for registered colleges read the fine print when you get hired) and raises are easy to come by, a guy who started with me (2 months ago) makes 12+ an hour now
just go up to any bank of america center with a resume, dress business casual, ask for the banking center manager, then ask when the next interviewing process will be held, then they'll do 1 of 2 things
1: sign you up on the spot for the interview
2: call you back with a date and directions
if you ask "are you hiring" 90% of the time theyll be bitches and say no
or which ever financial institution you bank at, follow directions above
so MAKE THAT RESUME

No, but I'm sure there are thousands and thousands of places in Houston where they need multilingual people. If you're a good enough salesperson, you may be able to convince some small business owner that hiring you will bring them more business. But I don't think the pay would be great, but it'd look good on a resume.

It's all the way on the north so im not sure if he would be interested
because that would be a helluva drive for him to come all the way over here....(Near Intercontinental Airport) but i mean it's good money though for now. Thread Starter

Well, it might not sound like the greatest, but many guys start out being a porter and without experience start to work their way up to becoming decent enough a tech for say honda or chevy, or acura, etc. to pay, or help pay to send you through the ASE's program so you can work for them as a certified techinician.
IF nothing else, see if discount tire or something will work as a place, I work there for a while, it's not bad, maybe a little early for my usual bedtime then but it was good. I was also certified as a tire tech in like 1 1/2 months flat, and I had never work as anything other than a file clerk..
Not to bad...
