Hi,

I just installed an AEM Cold Air Intake on my 2003 Civic EX. The engine now make a high piched sound when I start the car and whenever I give it gas. It also makes the sound when I shut the car off. Does anyone know if this is normal or is there something wrong? Also, if it is normal can you tell me why it does this?

It does that because you removed the factory resonator, which is supposed to make the car quiet. Air flow is the noise you hear.

i like the noise it makes. although it is quite loud but still sounds cool.

The sound during running is air being sucked into a long pipe. The sound after you shut off the motor is compressed cylinder air leaking past your open intake valves.

I can hear a low intake sound because of the head port work I have. If you listen closely, you can hear the sucking sound at the inlet of the stock intake.

You hear it cuz the intake is doing it's job, sucking in air.

hey, who has some clips or know where i could find some of that sound? i dont have an intake, just wondering what it sounds like on a 7th gen
