do you raise your car in the winter?

should this be done?

im prolly lowering my ride with neuspeed sport springs...so im lookin at about a 1.75" drop. can i keep that throughout the winter? or should i put my stock springs back on for the snow season?

what does everyone else with lowered rides do?

takumi is on a distinguished road
Get coilovers, you can adjust the height whenever you want.

smokedcivic has a little shameless behaviour in the past
i have neuspeed sport springs and i have gone through 2 winters with them on now problems... but i would suggest that you do get a winter beater due to the fact the springs will go faster from rust build up..

I had my H&R's on for one winter, did some plowing due to the front lip. Cities of Mississauga, Toronto, and Hamilton owe me money now for the plowing services. But overall wasn't a bad experience or anything. This year since I have Hayames I'm raising it up to stock for the snow.

I drove with H&R for two winters with a full Kaminari Kit. I absolutely killed the paint on the front and sides skirts. The plan is to remove the skirts for the winter this year. I will still be dropped but there will be no problem without the kit on.

So in summary, if you dont have a kit you will be fine IMO

im dropped about 2.5 inchs

in the summer i use oversized wheels.. and the diameter is about an inch more than stock... so when i put my stock rims back on in the winter, i actually sit lower than in the summer

so, if you're asking me if i raise my car for the winter.. my answer is no, i lower it by about 1/2 an inch

Koni Yellows DO NOT let you adjust your ride height, only stiffness.

I've been on Neuspeed Sports thru a winter as well, no problems...

if you raise it each winter that comes along.. you're most likely going to have to get an alignment..... unless you dont mind driving with a tilted steering wheel.

i've been through this past winter with like a 2" drop... i have like a one finger gap with my winter tires on... half a gap in the rear. i just usually watch where im driving.. but when i plow.. i usually dont have a choice.
i have winters on usuallly... so not much of a problem b/c i got grib while moving...
