I'm finally gonna put in mobil 1 full synthetic in but how the hell does one take off the oil filter, do I need a special tool, or is this something that only honda can do, and whats a good brand for the oil filter?

well getting off the filter you just reach up behind the block, and twist... sometimes using a filter wrench or pliers is the easiest way to get it off... as far as brands go... its all personal preference... they all do the same job... honda filters are probablly the best one to use tho..

I used to run my Mobil 1 oil through a Mobil 1 filter. Now I use Purolator Pure One (the blue filters). There's all sorts of oil filter comparisons online that you can consult, but I just go to the autoparts store and get the filter with the highest multi pass efficiency rating.

As for removal, I had to use a filter wrench/socket wrench combo to get the filter off the first time I changed the oil.

I use K and N oil filters...you can use a regular 1 inch socket wrench to take them off...nice and easy...
