Changing Clutch Fluid

How long should one wait to change their clutch fluid ?

If the fluid does need to be changed, how is it done ?

"Clutch fluid" is just brake fluid...
dot 3 ~3 years
dot 4 ~1 year, but handles heat much better

I haven't had to change mine yet, but it's probably like changing the brakes but with the bleeder on the slave cylinder.
