AEM vs Stock compromise
AEM vs Stock compromise
I took off the AEM SRI and put the filter box and a drop in K&N in it. I left the air box off and put in a plastic tube from the filter box inlet to the stock air horn. What I eliminated was sucking in hot air and since the tube is ABS plastic it wont retain heat either. I have gained back some of my low end TQ with this setup and the high end feels the same as the SRI.
The question is, I have a DNX axle back exhaust on the car. The stock resonator and cat etc is still there. If i put my stock exhaust back on will I regain more low end with my cold air setup? Or will I lose the high end by putting it back on and not pick up any more low end? In other words, is the current setup the best compromise as it is now?
