installed gauges and now srs light is on
ever since I've had my car my SRS light has been on as well, my side airbag light just came on the last few months, I've had the SRS system checked once, went off for about a month and came back on, there was something that was faulty with the 2001's I know for sure, I'm not sure if they fixed it for 2002-up though ?... probably have to have honda check it out especially if yours is a 2001 ... something I need to do as well

Well resetting it is not easy. It's not just like removing the battery for a few minutes. You actually have to do some stuff and it has been posted already. I don't know how you set off the srs light. Usually jump starting the car or unplugging the seat harness does it. Gauge cluster plugs aren't related at all.

Amazingly the DIY for resetting the SRS light is in the DIY section...

And yes, what you did with the ECU could have caused it...

SRS light is simple to reset, look in the DIY's. all you need is a paper clip, or a piece of ferm wire.
