TeLLy needs alignment BAD

OK guys, got my Hayames installed (kickass), nearly killed myself on the way home (long rant in another thread soon). But my toe in is HORRIBLE. I'm
talking with my steering wheel straight the driver's front faces in quite noticably and the passenger's as well, but not as bad. I gotta get this fixed ASAP, I'm fighting the wheel even on a straight line. I really really wanna avoid any kind of highway driving, so if anyone can recommend a place that can do lowered cars (i have a body kit too) IN MISSISSAUGA please do. I know Gilman and a bunch of places out in scartown can do it, but I'm afraid of taking her out there....control really is that bad. Please help, TeLLy is sad.

Hey Telly my brother lives in Sauga too and his RSX is pretty low. He just got a bunch of Suspension work done at Woodbine Acura (I think) They have a good set up their for modified cars and stuff.

i'm gonna go check out wheel and tire zone tomorrow or give them a call for a quote. i'll let you know what i find out.

did you invert the tie rods?
i never would have thought that little turn would make the fronts toe in that much!
but i'm more of less in the same boat as you, really odd to drive with a toe-in setting. hahahahahaha

Yeah I flipped the tie rods. I never thought I would have gotten THAT much toe in just from flippin the damn things! Do you find yourself fighting the wheel a lot? Seriously my driver's side is so skewed it's turned in about an inch and a half when the steering wheel is straight! And the passenger wheel, at the same time, is turned in a half inch!

is it that front or back? when i put mine in, the front was so bad that it wasted my tires in one day in the snow...... if its the front you can fix it easy because the housing have camber bolt holes...any agliment shop can do it for you

It's the front. Camber I'm not worried about. Toe is killing me. It's to the point that turning is an adventure. The car wanders all over the place, and will smack into the curb in 2 seconds if I don't hang on to the wheel for dear life.

i'm in the same bolt, just not as extreme.
did you have any issues with getting the two bolts in the front to go in?
i found it to be a really snug fit.
i'm thinking the camber holes are useless now!

I agree - no point with the camber holes. But I had no problem getting the two front bolts to go in - you're talking about the ones that bolt the strut to the brake assembly right?

Well, after my alignment at Wheel and Tire Zone I have proved two things.
1) The camber holes in the front are useless.
2) I seriously need a camber kit now! I'm running close to -1.5 deg in the front and -2.5 in the rear!

But besides that, everything seems to be a lot tighter and handling much much better. No more wandering civic! Haven't had a chance to give it a good spirited run yet, but I think it'll all be good.

I know wheel and tire zone (mississauga on eglinton) does wheel alignment even for lowered cars. Its about 100-150$ as i remember.

SedanBoy, do you have a V1? My V2 is still adjustable to correct camber but I want to run into a little aggressive set up while maintaning a maximum streetable settings so I have a -1.5 front and -1.0 rear camber. Zero toe all around and OEM spec caster settings.

I have the V2.
With both bolts in, the top hold is fixed at only one position that tightly allows the bolt to pass through.
I'm running roughly the same camber as you, -1.5 front and -1.5 rear with zero toe and in spec caster.

My camber:
-0.9 FL
-1.3 FR
-1.5 RL
-2.9 RR

Crazy, yes. I don't think I'm gonna end up with a camber kit though.

wheel & tire zone is the BIGGEST rip off tire shop in ALL of ONTARIO!! Please do NOT go there unless you like paying 50% to 100% more. the guy that runs the place, i think his name is andrew (the fat guy), is a real looser. guy doesn't know how to handle customers, treats people rudely.
