03 Center Console Removal - Need Some Clearification

Hey,
So I did my searching and came across the 2003 Center Console Removal DIY. http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...postid=1452283

I have a few questions for anyone who's done it. I haven't taken anything apart in my car yet so i'm kinda scared to break anything. So here are a few questions I have...

Step #3
3. Move to the front of the car down by the foot area and locate the push tab near the gas pedal (front of console)

How exactly do you remove it without breaking it? Do I just use a screw driver and pop it out or is there a particular way to pop it out?

Step #5
5. Grasp your hands around the piece of the console and pull gently to lift up on the plastic top.
**(Green dots indicate where clips & screws are also hidden)**

When I lift up how will the clips unclip. From my understanding of how clips work it holds down the piece and by pulling it up won't it break the clips so when I put it back in it won't work properly...

Step #8
8. After removing all 4 of those screws above, what you wanna do now is grab underneath
of the cup holder and pull towards you and upwards some so the snap clips will break free
of the console near the cigarette lighter..
**(Green dots indicate the 2 snap clips)**

Kind of the same question from above. "break free" as in they're broken or you can put it back on?

Thanks in advance.

In the middle of the tab, there's a circular indentation which you can push in. You can do this with a toothpick or something small and pointy. Once you do that, the tab will be "unlocked" and you can easily take out the tab with your fingers

Nope, the clips will not break. You can put it back in and it'll work properly

Same thing as above, it can be put back in with no prob. I guess NeonImpact mean "break free" as in it'll be released.

Great thanks,
I took it apart yesterday afternoon and everything went fine. I'll be putting it back fri/sat so hopefully everything will go just as easily.
