People with verizon
Have you noticed the reception has been really badd lately? I dont know if its just me. I even switched phones thinking it was from me dropping it too many times but it still sucks. I dont get half my calls, maybe even more. I get voicemails/text messages like 4 hours later. Its really starting to **** me off. I've been with them for like 3 years and it would go badd for like a week but this time is been shitty for like 3 weeks now.
BTW does anyone have an extra nextel phone?

I have sprint also. And its awesome. Ive seen all the wireless companies and this seems to real good. Verizon sometimes does have that problem david but then again they usually have the best reception. IF i have like 2 bars usually verizon will have full.
Verizon is supposed to actually be the no.1 in reception and nextel is supposed to be No.2 I have A nextel I like service as long as I'm on the freeway but I usually have problems other wise It's funny because I can still make and recieve call with no bars! lol but I hardly have dropped calls so I dunno IMO Nextel is decent but I'm getting it free. If i had to pay for it I wouldn't have it the Phones are uber expensive compared to other companies and are basically feature less! I have a Phat Farm i733 which cost $400.00 bucks and it's not anywhere as nice as the $150.00 Verizon phone I bought for my sister. But my phone looks alot prettier being a Phat Farm phone lol. Anyway if you had to buy the phone and pay full price for the service I wouldn't get a nextel. And I would take AT&T up on their offer of a 30 day money back Gurantee just try it if you like it and see if they really did "Double" their coverage. The one big reason I have nextel (besides me not paying for it) is That I use it as GPS navigation when I'm driving it gives me turn by turn navigation directions while I'm driving which I think is real cool I don't have no antnna on my roof or anything!

I'm over on the east coast and I've got a SunCom phone. It's part of the AT&T network, so I've got no major problems with them.

How is your reception looking? Definitely call them up and let them know that way maybe they can at least give you a credit of some sort..Mine was like that too..and still is every now and then but ehh..Also do the *228 and send and update your roaming capabilities..

Can't you access your voicemail from another phone? If I forget my phone, which is often, I just borrow someone's phone to check my messages.
Anyways, I have T-Mobile here in MA and it works very well for me. However, one of my bosses also uses T-Mobile and lives in central/ western MA and she says it sucks.
I'm definitely considering switching to Verizon before I move to CA
Verizon is a more expensive with good reception, but T-Mobile offers better value on their packages with less reception on their phones.
I've had both (with verizon now) and the extra money is worth it.

maybe its just my house? but then it used to be fine for 3 years. yeah i definitely plan on callin verizon. its just a matter of gettin off my lazy ***.
It'll say i have 2 bars sometimes even 4 but it still doesnt work. even outgoing call today. it said 2-3 bars and it wouldnt even connect. i did that whole *228 thing when i changed phones but eh i'll do it just incase right now.
yeah i could access my voicemail from an outside line but eh my phone doesnt tell me till 4 hours later that i got one. its not like i'm going to check it every hour you know.

1. Power on your Verizon Wireless phone
2. Dial *228 from your home digital coverage area, followed by the SEND key
3. When prompted, press option #2, to update your phones roaming capabilities (This process may take up to 2 minutes)
4. Once completed, a confirmation message will be played, and a message will display on the phone screen.
Direct from the Verizon Website. I do this every so often. It helps sometimes.

I had some probs the other day with my Verizon phone here in Chicago and when I called to ask whats up they said all issues should be resolved by the end of the month. They are upgrading their entire network so a single tower can have a farther and stronger range.
