It took 4 hours. It probably would've been faster, but someone
The hardest part was definitely the damn tie rod thing. I warped one of the bolts
back ones are so easy. we coulda easily been done w/ those in like 30 minutes but:
a) the damn bolt that connects the shock to the other part of the suspension is long....it felt like i was spinning that thing for 15 minutes.
b) we were using wrenches to undo the strut in the trunk cuz we thought we didn't have any deep socket 14mm's. and when we finally put the car together again.....we figure out there is another compartment in the toolset just for deep sockets. the funny thing is, the guy who owns the toolset has had that thing for years and had never known about the compartment
so far so good too with the new springs (Tien S tech).
no squeeking or other stuff.
i've noticed a difference in handling.
it liked like it dropped waaaay more than 1.4" in the front...but wutever.
the back didn't drop that much....which i don't mind either.
when is a good time for me to get an alignment done? when i was driving i was driving straight, it wasn't pullin to either side.
thank u mex for ur brilliant DIY.
o yah....no spring compressor necessary at least w/ these springs.

Eh as long as he can get the bolt on then it should be fine. Also, the back will settle. The fronts settle faster because of the engine. You can push a little on the rear to help it. I suggest a week or so to get an alignment.
