AC Belt removal

I need to replace my AC belt because it is squeeking bad. Is there a tensioner or does something have to come off? Thanks

loosen the a/c bolt thats holding it on then unscrew the tensioner with your thumbs or some pliers and that will untighten the belt.

so you can install/uninstall it as needed? is it worth it to take it off?

Its not that big of a deal....all you need to do is loosen it and kinda pry it off the crank pulley

Just take the ac belt and check for any damage or crack. But most of the times if your car is less than 70km you will just need to adjust the tensioner. Just be care full not to make it to tight. If you don’t know how tight to make it just keep on adjusting until the sound goes away and ya don’t start the car will adjusting the belt.
