Loose seat setting off SRS??

My drivers side side is loose. when i lean back in the seat or lean back to get my wallet out of my back pocket i notice that the front slighty moves up. nothing huge but enough to notice it.
Do you think that is causing my srs light to go off? if so how would i fix it?

yeah, it'll get worse too, mine was the same way. honda "fixed" it about two years ago, but it's doing the same thing again. it doesn't set off my srs light tho-

The rocking seat problem (bad bushing) shouldn't cause your SRS light to come on. Make sure you don't have any light weights on your passenger seat - that will turn it off.
Oh and take your rocking seat problem to Honda. They fixed mine in less than half an hour under warranty (plus they washed my car).

If your SRS light is on you can have it reset, theres a DIY on the site somewhere. Just make sure the harness under the seat is plugged in tightly and follow the DIY. If the SRS light is still on, then its not your harness......but it probably is.

My SRS light was on for the longest time. I took it back to the delaer and asked the Honda mechanic if they had somehting to reset. They must have been dumber than a box of rocks because all they told me was to take out the light or put black tape on it. I was like you friggin morons. So a month or so ago I took it to a different dealer for some maintenance and they fixed it. It ended up being a loose ground wire under the seat. Hmm, I would have never thought that.
