Bad luck continues...UPDATE
Well seems my bad luck is still with me....I have had two accidents withing 1 week...this one is definatly my fault since I was the only person involved.
I was going down Antonio tonight heading home and a coyote (spelling?) ran accross the road in front of me. I hit the breaks where if I were on dry road I would have been fine but since it was raining the wheels locked up and sent me turning into a curb....
My front driver side wheel is broken, the bumper smashed in on the lower part....
The wheel has a 1 finder gap in the rear on the driver side and a 3 finger gap the passanger side...basically on the back part closer to the wheel the wheel has been pushed that way.
I wont be suprised if there is some fram damage, which is immediate salvage, and "new" car time.
I'm hoping it is just the sub frame and that can be easily repalced. I also have another wheel sitting around that I can use....there will definatly be extensive damage to the suspension though.
Next time I hit the animal, stuff him and mount him on the wall....damn animals.
No pictures yet.
UPDATE:
Got the estimate and the repairs have been underway. The car needs a new subframe, new front wheel, and new front suspension in addition to a new front bumper.
My uncle, also my mechanic, cant get the new subframe on because of damage to the cars front support structure, also it turns out my rear suspension was damaged as well, and the rear wheel needs to be replaced as well.
I'm hoping that the insurance company will find the fact that the new subframe wont fit a reason to call it a total loss, especially since my uncle has been trying for about a week to get it on, but we'll see.
Still no pics yet. I'll get some soon hopefully.

I would be satisfied if the coyote were hit but he got away scot free....I think he went to the side of the road and did the little dance with another coyote buddy kinda like in that car insurance commercial with the squarls.
If I had been able to register it as a coyote faster I would never have touched the brakes...but since it was raining it was somewhat distorted and came right after I blinked.....it sucked.
On a lighter note I had some old legos I was taking to a friend for her kid and they exploded all over the car. It was funny, I was covered in them.
I was actually laughing about the accident afterwards, just out of the sheer bad luck and stuff. I'll find out monday how bad it is when my uncle takes a closer look at it.
If it is a total loss, I think I'm gunna go for and older hatchback, at least the insurance will be lower.

... but yeah take your time driving man... when my uncle was working at edwards AFB, they kept having huge accidents because people would swerve to miss these huge jackrabits that ran accross the roads on the base. they had a mandatory class and posted signs that said "hit the bunny hit the bunny hit the bunny" Its one of those random things that has always stuck with me. Glad you're ok, a bunch of my unkles co workers ended up paralized or dead, thus the signs.
hey don't feel down, I was just like you too I got into 4 different accdients in less than 8 months 2 of them only 3 days apart. NOw that sucks hard. Now my car is going to the shop in a week or so for the last hit I had.
