rpm vs mph chart available?
can anyone help me read this chart? like what do the red highlights represent, and basically when is the best to shift. i read other threads and stuff about so and so rpm but i dont have a tach so i can only gauge it by speed, if anyone can help me out that would be great.
I just want to add this graphic I made using the data in "speed.zip"
what you can see here, is that the optimal shifting point is always at redline except in third gear where it's around 6500 rpm
and this is with 185/65 R15 tires because that's what my car came with stock (canadian lx)
anyway it doesn't make much difference compared to 185/70 R14, there's about a 2mph difference max speed.
