Tokicos In February 04
Tokicos In February 04
The wait is almost over.
I just got off the phone with Tokico and they said that the Tokico Illumina and HP shocks will be out in Feb 04 for sure. I know this subject has been beaten to death, but I heard it straight from the horses mouth....
Everyone pray that they are not BSing about the release date again. I need new shocks bad and I don't want to have to get Konis.

went to LA Auto Show yesterday, i talked with the TOKICO sales representative @ the show and they confirmed that the strut will be release february 2004
woooo wooooo
woooo wooooo
I also talked to a Tokicko rep at the Los Angeles Auto Show tonight. He told me the prototypes are out now. Prices will be released february 04. Shocks will be out March 04.
Whether February or March, I think the good thing for us is that, unlike the Konis, the Tokicos will be a direct bolt on installation. Not strut housings to cut. At least, that's what the rep said. My OEM shocks, 1 year out of the factory and 33,500 miles later are starting do die. The only thing keeping me from getting new struts is the ease of installation.
The rep also mentioned that the delay of introducing struts for the civic was due to the difficulty of strut installation on the current Civics. They needed time to design a strut that would be easy to install, unlike the KONIs.
