Does the inside of your intake look like this?

I am checking my intake/(filter mainly) to make sure it's doing it's job. My entire intake piping has this odd almost crystalized white coating on the inside, and I'm not sure if it was like that before I installed it or not. It doens't come off (well at least not easily/like dirt would), so it should be normal, but I'd like someone to tell me if theirs is the same. I have an AEM SRI (blue, if you can't tell in the enclosed picture). This would be of great help, Thanks.

When I had my silver AEM, I think it was like that. It just makes the air flow better or something.

1. mine looked like that when i got it.

2. i think its worth it. it sounds really nice and i have noticed better gas millage. i only fill up once every 3 weeks then 2 weeks and i drive the same amout and same way every time i drive.

the only problem is for the first month i was floring it at every light to hear that sound. All my friends did the same thing when they got theres. just an fyi and wach it big loss of gas doing that.
