Getting closer to makeing the lambo dr kit for cheaper
OK Ive been doing tons of resurch on the lambo hing system. Going off of what Ive seen on the Autoloc kit, it seems easy enough to make now..here are a couple of pics from my resurch...thank god for google...lol
this is the Decah kit...the best one i think on the market...but way to expensive to say the least..1700 big ones....even if i tryed i dont think i could make some thing as sweet as this kit..u have to give them props though this is one bad a$$ kit

basicly you need two hinges( top and botm for one dr)....they both have to do the same motion...
the hing would need to be a two stage swing hing , on the 1st satge of the hing the door has swing out like it would normaly as when you open it...but only about 2 -5 inches, the second stage of the hing need to rise verticaly...and thats it...
this pic is not the hing we would need but this gives u an idea on how the hing is made...this is a lambo hing but not for our car..

this is the btm hing for the same door...auto loc offers there kit to be liner actuated meaning it opens and close automaticly.....or you can use a shock and do it manualy....
now your looking at this pic as you would looking through the fender...the plat you see there is simply there for the connecting the shock or actuator (what have you) to the lower swing hing...if it wasnt there, you would need to mount the top portion of the studed ball from the shock to the car...the lower part of the shock connects to the lower swing arm which is held in by the factory screws and same wholes....same goes for the top

some mods r needed though but they r slight to say the least...the inner part of the fender needs to be shaved so that the shock can slide in and out...for those of you who dont know where this is at...here s the pic

Really to kill alot of time in trial and error...If some one who has the hit would let me barrow it I could have a jig made up to produce them...all i need is one kit either the Decah or the Auto Loc...I just dont have the cah to buy the whole deal...i have another post still going on who is interested in ...if we all pitched in and bought one ...we could have it made for half the cost...but we need like 20 buyers to buy one kit...

NO PROMISES!!! but in about 2 months, I'll have one out for sale through a VERY reputable shop. The best part is that the price will be affordable (at least WAY more affordable then the Decah and autoloc kit). The quality will actually be a little better then decah's. It won't be flimsy when propped up like the decah kit. I've seen the kit work in person, and it's very nice and very sturdy. It's almost exactly like the decah kit, but it's improved upon. Once I get the go-ahead to release it, I'll let you know. Once again......NO PROMISES.
