DIY: Power Steering fluid change
thanks for JmD_1901 for comming by and helping me on the diys
this is the diy on powersteering fluid change. do this if your ps tend to bog or gets stuck while you are turning and accelerating, or if your ps is foaming bad like me, and/or it's dark green
Materials:
pliers
power steering fluid (NOTICE: when you buy the fluid, make sure it's approved on using on honda vehicles, most are not), i used about 18 onces of the ps fluid
shop towels, 2-3 of them
1. raise the reservoir from the metal tab
2. use the pliers, and remove hose clamp from the ps reservoir inlet
3. remove the inlet hose
4. after unpluging the hose, make sure you have something to plug the reservoir inlet, you might want an extra set of hands for this, if any ps fluid get on anything on your car, clean it immediately
5. put the inlet hose into a container, and make sure it won't fall out
6a. turn the car on, and turn the steeringwheel lock to lock for a few times, until the reservior is empty, and no more fluid is comming out of the inlet hose
6b. turn the car off
7. put the hose clamp and and hose back on the powersterring reservior
8. fill the ps reservoir up to the top line, leave the top off of the reservoir
9. turn the car back on, and turn the wheel lock to lock to bleed the system
10. check the reservoir for the fluid level, and level it and keep turning it lock to lock till the reservoir stays on the top line
