OK, so I was drivin back to work with a Wendy's combo on my passenger seat and I got cut off, resulting in some pretty fancy swerving - my fries all scattered and my drink (biggie size) flew out of my cupholder and now there is Coke on my carpet. Thankfully none on the seat. Most of the drink got caught by my rubber floor mats, but a decent amount got onto my carpet and door sills....grrrrr.
Anyhoo, I'm sure the door sills will be cleaned easily enough, and I took the floor mat off and dried THAT off, but I just know the stuff on the carpet underneat the floor mat will get all sticky and nasty. Also I dun want mold growin on my carpet, so does anyone have a recommendation as to what to clean the pop off with? Friggin have to wait another 4 hours till I can clean it off (I'm at work) so it'll have dried up a lil - prolly not a good thing. Help!
all i had for lunch was my damn burger. Boo-urns.

**** dude, that sucks. I hate it when food goes to waste. I would put as many paper towels on it to help soak it up and then go to Canadian Tire and buy some Turtle Wax "Power Out" Professional Strength Carpet Cleaner. I used it on my car after the Winter to get rid of some salt stains. It comes with a scrub brush too. Good Luck!

How did u clean it?
I snuck back out and paper-toweled the floor - I must have gotten like a popcan's worth of Coke out the carpet....so I'm not SUPER-worried anymore.

Coke? Fries? That's NOTHING.
I was driving down Yonge street, having a Taco Bell Soft Steak Taco, and had to put it down to drive, and then, DAMN, I dropped it, all in it's wet glory, on the PASSENGER SEAT.
Pulled over immediately, and cleaned it up. I was so pissed. Luckily for me, I have leather... Even though it's perforated with little holes, at least it wasn't fabric
imp:
Guess what? It happened a SECOND TIME. From then on, no messy food eating in my car while driving...
I had major issues like your coke experience though... I bought some cheap generic plastic carpets for my car, and well, in the winter so much water leaked out of it thru the sides, into the driver side rugs
I cleaned it up, but it stinks like hell. I recommend using those car shampoo things, then soaking it up using paper towels, then blow drying it... Don't want it to rust out you know
This winter, I'm gonna put some old rags underneath the plastic liner, near the side (basically where you guys with the manual cars put your foot for clutch using)
