water in trunk

Has anyone ever had a problem with getting water in their trunk. Every since i got my car new I have been getting water in the trunk. It happens when it rains, but it doesnt do it all the time. I ignored it at first because there was always somthing in my trunk that could of leaked ie. windshield washer fluid, but the car is definetely leaking. I brought it to honda and one of the mechanics looked at it and said its probably the seal for the rear right tail light. He said it was a popluar problem. Honda ordered a new one, i haven't made an appointment to get it installed yet, but i dont think thats the problem. Last time i had water in the trunk the seal was not wet. I think water is coming from the rear window, or near that area. I've tried running water on my car and locating the leak but i can't find it. Usually when it rains at night, the next morning when i look in my trunk the right side of the carpet is wet and water runs down to wear the spare tire is.

Yesss!! I had this exact same problem and fixed it by takin it to HONDA dealership for free cuz of warranty. First try to find the leak. Do this during the day.....First put the rear seats down. Go inside the trunk and look at the weather strippin (the rubber thing). Have another person outside pour water on the trunk and ull find the leak. Watch where its coming from. Look at he rubber strip, do u see any groves like V shape? Damn cheap civics .

I hate Honda, I took the car in last week to
1. have the new gasket installed
2. have my oil changed
3. rotate tires
4. fix drivers seat that rocks back and forth

First they never rotated my tires, and they charged me for it. Second they put the new gasket on with out taking off the old one so tail light sticks out further and is not flush with the body. Also the sides of the bumper are not flush against the body now.

And today it poured and guess what, there’s water in my trunk.

I am getting a puddle of water down where my spare tire is too, but I don't believe it's the weather stripping. it seems to be getting in around where the air vent is on the left side of the trunk. i'm not sure what i should do to fix this, but the warranty on my car is up so i need to take action myself.

I brought my car in on wed and Honda sent it out to a body shop, apparently there is a leak in the rear right quarter panel. They have to seal some sort of seam. I haven't gotten my car back yet.

here's the problem in my trunk.

water finds its way in from around the edges when it rains. this started happening about 8 months after i lowered my car. i wonder if maybe the body is twisting somehow. i also noticed that the lining in my trunk doesnt fit correctly anymore, though it could just be tools sliding around in my trunk that messed it up.
