WEIRD problem
Alright, I get in my car to go to staples and when I start it up.. I start hearing this clicking sound. At first I thought there was a bird in my car or something. It was comming from the glove box.
Anyway, it turns out there is a motor that turns when you first start up the car. It is right behind the glove box. Well, it has suddenly some how came off its track or something. It just clicks for the first minute or so when you start the car. It is really annoying.
Does anyone know what this does, because it hasn't seemed to mess anything up. My passanger window does not work, but it has been like that for quite some time, so I don't think it is related. If you know what this motor does, is there any easy way to fix this problem?
Thank you,
Patrick

Couldn't help myself, anyhow it might be your blower motor for the A/C and heater vents. Shut off the fan and all the climate controls before you start it up and see if that stops the noise. Other than that I don't know of any other electric motor in the dash.

lol. What's an engine??
Anyway.. yeah, that is what I am thinking it is. (the blower motor)
I am going to check on that. Do you think there is an easy way to pop this back into place or something?
Thanks

well. The blower still worked even when it was clicking. When I turned the car on without the heat or AC on, it still clicked.
Anyway, I removed the glovebox and pulled a metal part of it that was clicking forward. Now, it doesn't move at all. I have no clue what it is, but it doesn't seem to be hurting anything. At least it stopped clicking.
If anyone has an explination. I would still appreciate it though.
Thank you
