weird noise when driving

when i drive my car you can hear a noise coming from the driver side. it sound like a have a nail in my tire. but the noise is louder than that. every time i hear the noise and press the brake pedal it would go away. what can be the cause of it? is it my axel?

usually when u have a noise and it sounds as if its coming from the tires/wheel, and then u press the brake and it goes away, thats the stock warning device that says to change ur brake pads bc they are at about 10 percent left

i know when the brake is going out and it is for sure not the brake because if you was low on brake there would be a streeking sound instead of thumping sound and it is when you press on the brake. mines goes away when you press on the brake.

no no no i had the same problem with my car seriously. ok if have lowered ur car and had shitty aftermarket exhaust piping on ur car water picks up from the street hits against the piping and makes it sound like a flat tire and it feels like it rubs. I pulled over and was like WTF i couldn’t figure it out till I put 2 and 2 together. If u notice when u hear that noise put it in neutral and it will go away because the pip get colder when no exhaust is going threw it. I took my car back to when I got the exhaust done and I bough better piping. So far so good no sounds or anything. What u could most likely do (if this is your problem is) by that thermal wrap for headers and exhaust or even Aluminum insulation at lowes or and wrap it around im sure that would stop it to (if that is ur problem)

well i jack up the car yesterday and found out it was the driveshaft. when i spin the wheel i would hear the noise comeing from the driveshaft. it might be the driver side only though. need to take it for a check up now.
