evern seen the dash in the saturn ION?
below is a pic.... i dont know what to think about it..maybe it just takes getting used to...but i honestly thing its the ugliest and wierdest things i have seen, i cant imagine having to clance in the midle of the car to see my rmp, mph and all the other crap....
i saw one today in a parking lot and got a ware of the wierd set up, thats why im posting it here, what do yall think about this?

I know a lady that has an echo, and its like that. she says it dosent bother her at all, and its actually better for night vision since there are no lights in your face/eyes

Rep Power: 366 I flat out don't like my passengers to have the same view of the guages as I do. Whenever my mom is in the car, I wish she had blinders on so she couldn't see the speedometer at all. This wouldn't help with that any.

Rep Power: 396 I actually test drove one of those. Eh. I wasnt impressed. The only thing I liked was the rearview mirrior. It had the temp, compass on it. other than that, nothing to impressive.

uhhh no. that much red/amber will make me sick. thats why i like LED gauges.

Rep Power: 0 the reason saturn did it is because the ion was supposed to be based on the delta platform, which they use all over the world, though at the last minute they changed theyre mind. the new cavaliers(to be re-named Cobalt)/sunfires, however WILL be on the delta platform, though im not sure if they will have center gauges(sp?).
the reason they put the gauges in the center is because it makes the right hand-left hand drive conversions easier, and takes fewer parts that are unique to each drive style.

Rep Power: 0 All the little damn franch cars have had that for a while Renault, Citroen. It is nothing new, yet i still don't like it either. Maybe if they would balance like the Alpine RSX or something. My .02
