Anybody know of any makers of body shells for civic (or any car in general) or does this usually endup being custom work.

they have single piece front ends for civics. You should probably contact them for 7th gen (2001+) models if they can make them for you.

I suppose you're going for a drag setup? Also, they sell all sorts of carbon fiber parts that replace whole stock pieces (fenders, bumpers, body kits, hood, trunk, etc). That's serious weight reduction. Good luck!
