02 si axle question for swap

hey peeps just got a quick question...I read on hasport that the 94 and up integra gsr axles fits the k20A3 and i was just wondering if it is true? I don't want to buy really expensive axles from honda. Also does any one know of a performance axle for the k20A3? please help

No it's not true. I can't believe I haven't changed that yet. I'll try to take care of it Monday. The GSR axles almost work, the inner joint on the driver's-side axle is too short and doesn't fully engage the diferential.

Hasport sells upgraded axles for that application.

the reason is if you wanna keep your 4 lug because the rsx tranny - axels on a si is 4 lug. and the rsx - civic is not compatible.

if you wer to do the 5 lug, you would just use all the rsx components

im using GSR axles now and they work just fine. You are talkin about a K20A3 though, it might be different than my K20A2.

It's all a matter of lug pattern and partially your brake set-up that's on your car or what you want.

4-lug: GS-R/Si front axles
5-lug: RSX front axles

I never knew Hasport sold front axles for engine swaps... hmmm....

If you use RSX front axles you'll be using RSX hubs (5-lug brake pattern). You'll have no choice but to upgrade them.

With 500 hp the stronger RSX axles would be a good idea.

With 500hp
You need to buy custom axles and a LSD and clutch to handle the hp and torque.
RSX axles are not designed to handle anything like that.
The driveshaft shop will make customs, I know up to 300-350 hp handling they are $700 USD

My RSX axles handled 400hp. I'll tell you if they will handle 500 shortly.
