Lightbulb light beams high/low....

ok i noticed the other night, you can turn the high and low beams on at the same time....
you know the light control.....if you pull it to you, you can flash your high beams....well if you hold it in the right position, it will have both the high and low beams on at the same time.....

I was wondering if anyone knew how to make it that when you had the high beams on, that it would turn both on.....

i hope someone can understand what im trying to get across......
well get back to me.....if anyone knows how to accomplish this.

thanks,
WorM

I know what you are talking about, I had done it several times when I had my stock lights on. All I can really say is that you would have to rig your headlight wiring up somehow. hope that helps somewhat.

I feel you, I was going to recommend not messing around with the wires unless you know exactly what wires you are going to work on cause messing up the wiring for the headlights is an expensive part usually found only at the dealership.

that is a good question though that you asked, that should be a DIY if someone knew how to do it.

get a wire tester... what happens is.. that in the 3 prong connector... 2 wires are ground.. and one postive... when u put the high beams on they switch... how do u expect to have both lights on when they're the same bulb... i dont understand what ur sayin.. its impossible to have the high and low on at the same time.. we have ONE BULB.. DUAL filament.

it is possible if you have the switch in the right place, I have done it too. It is tricky though.

It is possible and not tricky either.

You have to have high beams on already. Then pull and hold the lever back after the click and you'll be burning both filaments at the same time. Don't know why, but it doesn't work when going from low to high.

Also... bad idea to wire it up to do it permanently. Both fils burning at same time significantly increased the temperature in that bulb... you'll be VERY likely to melt expensive sheeot!

it would also probably decrease the life of the bulb with all of that wattage going through.

i did this for my truck, they sell a kit for it, its a relay that you have to tap with a wire splicer between the low beam and high beam. when the high beam goes on the low beam goes on too. $50.00

look for it. i'm not sure if it would work with our cars.

but then again its two different bulbs for low and high on my truck....if you had some aftermarket projectors maybe......you probably could do it.

they call it a high 4 headlight kit for trucks. it basically makes your high beams driving lights.

hope that helps...
