Has anyone used or tried to dye their current stock seats. Do you have pictures? What did you do and would you do it again? Trying to keep the OEM look by changing what I have now.

I was thinking about taking that dye you can buy at the supermarket and create a black/silver look on the seats. Use a big tool for filling in the areas and a small brush for the straight lines.

Thats why I want to find out if anyone did it before....but if it does work out, then I'm sure others are going to do it because it could potencially save a lot of money to customize our interiors without shelling out some serious dough.
i dont see how .. our stock seats suck.. i would laugh so hard at someone who was impressed that they dyed their seats to a different color... stop being cheap.. if you want different color go buy a racing seat...
Or get it upholstered in what ever color of leather you want. If you dye upholstery, you can usually only die it certain colors from what it originally is. I.E.- If its tan, you cant jsut dye it whatever color you want cause it could come out looking brownish. With grey, you're limited to darker colors too, like blues, black, and, ooohhh screw it, just dont do it.

Anyone can buy seats.....if this works then that would suggest time and skill (if done right). Whay are you so opposed to learn about whats others are trying to do? I much rather see a DIY car by someone who takes there time and learns someting as they go forward than a car that was just purchased off the shelf and catalog.
Well then, by all means, be that person to take the time and do it. As far as I know, not one person on the site has done it. So go ahead and let us know how it goes. You asked if anyone has doen it here, and we told you that we don't think so. So be the pioneer.

i'm assuming you dont have the gh3y patterns on your seats. anyways, i'd suggest buying some katzkin (however you spell it) seat covers to reupholster your seats instead of dying them. i dont think it would come out too well.

id buy seats if i were you, also im sure theres a local upolsterer who would redo youre interior for around $300 if you have the cash. if you really want to screw up the seats, which im sad to say is what i think will happen, do a google search for fabric dyes, im sure theres tons of info out there

Go for it man. I will be impressed if it comes out like you want it to. Check with upholstry shops around your area and find out what kind of options you would have with your colors and such and what you would have to do to prep the seats. I'm sure it could be done and it would look good if done right. I don't like my seats but at the same time can't replace them because I just don't have the money. Dying would add a custom look without having cheap *** seat covers from AutoZone. Just try it and tell us how it goes.
