mixing up speakers...

Hey
I currently have alpine type-r for my stage and for my rear. running the rear off the HU and stage on a pioneer amp. I want to get new speakers. Im thinking of getting the Polk/Momo MM6's for my front and leaving the alpines in the back. How would that sound? Or, is it bad to match different companies with one another?
btw... has anyone heard the MM6's play? I haven't yet, but i really like polk and i like momo's stuff... so I wanna try them out. never seen them in stores, so i can't test them out.

They carry momo stuff at ur local circuit city. U can go there a listen to them. They are very clear but still very bassy. IMO the type r are a good quaility speaker for all around use. for bass go with the Polk Momo, but for clairity i would go with the Infinity Kappa or the Kappa Perfects. Those both are amazing sets. Thats just my opinion though

YOUR NUTS!!!!!!!!

iLL, Polk audios have AWESOME sound quality!!

I have gone through 4 component sets for my front and these are the ONLY ONES to handle the 125 watts rms im giving them

Type R's are about 2 or 3 classes down from MOMOs, TRUST ME!!!!!

Now the Alpine SPX-17M MIGHT RUN WITH THE MOMOS, but not the type R'S

Some info about Type R's

Aluminum-coated poly woofer cone
Cast aluminum woofer frame
1 ince silk dome tweet
RMS power hand, 8-50 watts (WEAK!!!!!!!!!!)
Peak power 200 watts (YEA RIGHT!!!!)
sens 86
depth 2 3/4"
1 YEAR WARRANTY
235.00 MSRP

Info on the MOMOs
Cast aluminum baskets
1 ince silk dome tweeter, neodymium magnet (for extra power handling)
RMS power 25-150 watts (THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!)
sens 87
DEPTHS 2 13/16"
Carbon Fiber dust cap
3 YEAR WARRANTY
449.00 $ MSRP

Notice Ludlam...............MOMO 150 watts RMS, Type R 200 watts PEAK power. YOu have obviously no experience with these speakers or their capabilitys.
Have you heard the expression "Dont knock it til you tried it"

THERE IS NO CHANCE THE TYPE R WILL COMPETE WITH SOME MOMOS!!!
