Question What is the redline of a D17.....

...non VTEC engine ? I have a DX and am installing a tach tomorrow. If someone could please let me know what redline is so I can set the needle.

Thanks.6800 sounds about right.My 4th gen redlined at 6500.

really? i noticed i can push it a bit past 7000, maybe around 7100-7200 til the rev limiter hits

Its 6800. All the 7th civics have a 6800 rpm limit. (except SI I think)

6800 but the rev kicks at 7200 in mine.....ha ha!! it doesn't matter because you hit peak HP at 6100......

well, stock tachs are like stock speedos. they arent the most accurate thing in the world. but since mine broke i have been using a sunpro tach, which is alot more accurate. also the limiter wont kick in at the same time on every car or even the same car at different times.

I'm pretty damn sure that auto has 6750rpm redline. Read it a few times on websites.

stick is like 7100rpm.
