Stock head unit, new speakers?

I’m interested in improving the overall sound quality in my stock/OEM audio setup. I would rather not replace the head unit as I don’t want to bring attention to the car and don’t want a subwoofer unit in the trunk. If I were to replace the front and rear speakers with higher quality speakers, would this make a noticeable difference in sound quality?

rdyQ obviously the new speakers are going to be better. I am thinking about doing the same thing cus i dont want to change the deck. there is this one cat, Dups , who hooked up his speakers but kept the OEM HU. he used infinity 605 composites in the front and some 4x50 watt amp. Im not sure what he used for the rear speakers though. yo let me know what set up u end up with.
