side airbag light w/ racing seats

I know that if you have side airbags and put in racing seats the side airbag light will remain on because of no where to put the sensor. But does anyone know if you can reprogram your ECU to read that side airbags are not supposed to be there? I am sending it to jetchip soon anyways and will mark that down as an upgrade to them.

i was under the impression that you can buy an srs computer that doesnt have the side airbag feature built into it. the airbag brain is seperate from the computer.
