you can use the metallic paint by duplicolor. but if you dont trust yourself with a spray paint, you can always get it powder coated, and it shouldnt cost much

it should fit the UK type R, but I could be wrong

The DC bar leaves a-lot of clearence, I'd be more concerned with the bolt pattern on the UK R then the clearence ....
