Hey, I was just wondering what the course of action would be if you swapped the engine in your car, in regard to your insurance company? I'm sure they'd need to know, since the engine id would be different...Anyone know what to do?

i would tell them, chances are if your premium does go up, it wouldn't be much more and that way if you were to total you car they would have to pay for the motor that you swapped in not the d17

they may drop you, and then you will have to get a different insurance company, which could mean$$

But you probably should get that worked out with an insurance company cause it is not like suspension work, or a turbo, it is a whole engine!!!
