Letter in font window shield illegal?
Letter in font window shield illegal?
I just got a ticket for illegal window tinting, understandable.
But the cop also told me that the front window shield is not suppose to have any letters or graphics that you can see through. So basically you can put anything transparent to a certain lenght i guess. Does any one know if it is illegal to have letters or graphics in the front top of the window shield?
I also live in las vegas just in case if the law is different in other states. Thanks.

I can only speak for Maine, but the laws in other states are prety similar. You are not allowed to have anything on the front or rear windsheilds. This includes fuzzy dice hanging from your mirror or college stickers on the back. Only thing that is legal is your inspection sticker and one parking permit sticker. Not that these laws are strickly inforced however if the officer needs articulable suspicion to stop your car and you have those stickers then there ya go...
i had 8 decals on my front windshield (passenger side) i didnt get ticket or cop didnt pulled me over to give me a warning.... u must have got pulled over by some bitch cop that got nothing better to do... sorry to hear about ur ticket...
i live in maryland... and this is where i had my decals at... if this helps

Thanks all for your support.
I found out that, the decals or whatever that is in front of the topmost windshield has to be transparent in order for it to be legal, thats in NEvada, I dunno about other states.

Generally the laws state that a "sun sheild" or banner must be higher than the AS1 line on the windsheild. This is generally located about 6" from the top. There is usually a mark on the passenger side of the windsheild that says AS1.
