Cops are just glorified meter maids, that is it. 95% of their day is writing tickets for moving violations, that is it. Just remember that the next time a cop is writing you a ticket and he is on a power trip.
in the state of Connecticut to see if your exhuast is legal, you must go to the DMV or certified location, and go through the inspection area. As of Oct of 03. in CT your exhaust can not exceed 2''.
And no, we are not "glorified meter maids" we enforce what ever the state tells us to. Just like whatever other jobs have descriptions. "Moving Violations" yes because you or other drivers broke the law. Yes some officers are less forgiving than others. If we didnt do our jobs then we would get fired. Pulling over cars can lead to other things, if present drug arrest, parol violations and whatnot. We cannot tell what car has drug and which dont. but by pulling car over for other violation we can stop other legal acts

Well obviously they hate you too. Quit flipping them off when you pull up next to them.
And hey, you guys that actually are Police Officers....c'mon...there are some officers on the force that get off on how many tickets they can write, right? I mean...The more tickets they can write, the more fines can be imposed, the more money goes to the city/county/state...I know there is the "Protect and serve" stuff...but I am sure your Sergeant is not getting pissed if you write a lot of tickets. I have never seen a department more **** over traffic than the departments in AZ. I have been passed by CHP so many times while doing like 10+ the speed limit in Cali I couldn't tell you...don't do that in AZ though. I wsa in bumper to bumper traffic a few years ago and had one of those photo radar defeating covers on my plate, this AHP cruiser was behind me, I am doing the speed limit, he goes to pass and then whips back in behind me and almost takes out my backend. Pulls me over, I am being cordial...yes sir no sir, no I didn't realize that was illegal, I bought it at Pep Boys..,actually asks me if I want to see the statute..which on second thought I should have said yes. Anyway I take it off and throw it in my trunk...but he says no I need to confiscate that...whatever...and writes me a $50 ticket. Now wasting 4 hours waiting in a courthouse to fight this is not worth my time...I make more than $50 in four hours...so I paid it and said screw it. These kinds of **** freaks give you guys a bad name. I sincerely doubt he was at Pep Boys the next day confiscating all the other plate covers that were on sale.

We enforce those plate covers too.. it hard to read a plate if the cover is dark or colored.. Some people use those covers to hide their fake plates. Our state has new reflectors on the plates now.
And we also are supposed to enforce no front plate and having your Reg sticker in the wrong place on your plate.. But its up to the officer to give you a ticket about it. most of my friends dont enforce them.
We can make you go to court now for having an illegal modified exhaust. But i think its a waste of time. unless you have an pepboys muffler.. thats an Impound and arrest right there.. lol

good luck with everything you guys, Im know I have my share with the five-o sometimes but it gotten to the point that I feel **** off everytime I see a cop, good or bad
I completely understand the need for enforcing illegal activity, but cops don't need to be ****s about it. I swear to God, every time I encounter a police officer, they're rude and extremely confrontational.
I went to ask a cop for directions once, and his response was, "ah geez, it's right past [blah blah blah]." nice attitude officer friendly

In Michigan you just go to the DMV and they will test the decibel level under light load. As far as cops go, they won't pull you over unless your car is heard from so many feet away.Which I feel that is retarded too.
Cocky guys kick ass!

tickets are easy, if ya know the right people. i've been pulled over many times, paid one fine. blue blinkers/park lights, all i paid on that was court costs. ha. $35, big deal. speeding.. got out of it, a few times. i'd take the car to a state DMV or something to get it approved. a lot of cops are total jerkoffs. 2" tip is the most you can have in conn? jeeeeeesus. **** like this makes me wanna stay in WV where you can get out of **** by knowing people. lol.
you're the exact kinda cop i like to look in the face of and laugh when i show em the court papers where the ticket is dropped and say "sucks that know people higher than you, huh?" haaaaaa.
