Clear corners legality?

I asked two police officers last summer about having cleared my corners. They were just regular pigs at a Tim Hortons parking lot and they looked up that **** in their little highway safety and traffic act book, but couldn't find anything.

They mentioned that they are not experts in the field, but they said that it should be fine to have the orange removed from your headlights so long as the bulb in the turning signal is a different shade then your headlights.

Note: They also said that if the package of a headlight box, such as the APC blue bulbs that say "WARNING: For off-road use only." are illegal. Technically, they don't bust you for this, especially in Ottawa, but the problem is if you get pinned by an officer that goes around and nails people for any illegal mods.

Anyways, they said they aren't positive, but that if you clear your corners, and use Super White bulbs from Canadian Tire to give your actual headlights a white look, while your corner lights are tinted yellow/orange, you should be fine.

They refused to write the confirmation down for me because they said there's a chance they are mistaken. I pushed several times to have it in writting, but nothing.

Anyways, peeps! CLEAR YOUR CORNERS! See the DIY page on this site for how to do it!!

The 'pigs' were right. It is legal to clear your headlight corners, so long as the turn signal lights are amber when in use.

Narc: you let the 'pigs' comment slide? hehe.

I'm wondering who already hasn't cleared their corners? It's like a form of initiation here.

its funny how he reffers to them as pigs, but still goes up to them and asks advice. But thats the way it is. I know that. Besides, he lives way too far to do anything about it!

PIG! j/k... the reference came from the fact that they were at timie's, and that's just what most people call cops!

what type of officer are you? (like are you a road cop pulling people over, or what?)

that's cool. it's good that you have a job that forces you to stay in shape.

I know it's a little off topic, but what can you bench?

But here's a question that you MIGHT know. If my car has an exhaust and an intake, do I have to report that to my inssurance?

Cheers.

Ugh! dont get me started on the bullsh** that is the insurance industry. Here's the shocker....if you dont tell your insurance co of your mods and you get in an accident, they may deny coverage because you failed to disclose that info. If you call your insurance co and tell them of your mods, they may deem you a high risk and cancel your policy.

As for what i can bench, last night i benched 280. in my dream!
