wanna hear something fuuny i just got my new tool box from snap on. and it came with a free go kart as a promotion. well i got it running took it out in my neighborhood. the cops show up and give me a ticket for not registering a motor vehicle with the dmv and driving a uninsured vehicle.

maybe you should have checked with state laws to find out if it considered a motor vehicle or not. many states recognize go-karts, and golf cart type vehicles as motor vehicles and require them to be registered and therefore insured. so it sounds like your screw up this time for lack of planning.

you cant register a go kart in nc. where would i put the inspection sticker. next to the intercooler right. and then ill take it to the dyno. where it will put 3/4 of a hp to the wheels.

You could have searched the Florida State statutes...but I did it for you. According to my search of "go-kart" Florida considers it an amusement ride.

616.242 Safety standards for amusement rides.--

(d) "Go-kart " means an amusement ride vehicle controlled or driven by patrons specifically designed for and run on a fixed course.

(e) "Inspection certificate" means the document issued by the department, which indicates that the amusement ride has undergone a recurring inspection by the department as required by this section.

5.(c) The Legislature finds that go-karts , amusement rides at water parks, and bungy operations are amusement rides that, because of their unique nature, pose safety risks to patrons distinct from other amusement rides. Therefore, the department shall adopt rules regulating their safe use and operation and establish safety standards and inspection requirements in addition to those required by this section or other rule of the department.

(5) ANNUAL PERMIT.--

(a) An amusement ride may not be operated without a current annual permit.

Therefore, the operator has to also follow all rules that apply to every other 'Motor Vehicle'
