okay i have the OBX catback exhaust and its pretty loud. so i was wonderin (i live in texas) if i can get a ticket for it being too loud?? how much is the ticket?? will my insurance go up?? should i be worried??
also i have an ebay intake... can i get in trouble with that??

about your exhaust i never heard of anyone i know having a problem with it being to loud and getting ticketed in Texas personally....insurance won't go up LMAO.....and the intake you should be fine with but when inspection comes around some shops might be asses about it and say it ain't legal but it's no biggie you'll be fine chill out

This is the only statute I could find in reference to a muffler...I also looked in 'CHAPTER 727. MODIFICATION OF, TAMPERING WITH, AND EQUIPMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES' and there is no mention of mufflers there either. Your insurance wouldnt go up even if you did get a ticket because its not a moving violation.
547.604. Muffler Required
(a) A motor vehicle shall be equipped with a muffler in good working condition that continually operates to prevent excessive or unusual noise.
(b) A person may not use a muffler cutout, bypass, or similar device on a motor vehicle.
