need legal help with probation officer
I posted about this in another forum, but I will sum it up, I was given 2 yrs. probation for harboring a runaway in Oct. of 2002, and untill now I have done everything, paid my $500 fine, completed my 100 hours of community service, and paid all my monthly probation fees, so 2 weeks ago I filed a motion with the court which was "Motion to discharge community supervision and dismiss cause", I would of gone through a lawyer, but they charged $500, so I did it myself, anyway the guy in court told me once they got my paper work from the probation officer they would call me to come back to court, and that it usually takes a week. Well, so last wednesday, I called the court to see if they got my paper work yet and they said that they emailed my probation officer and she hadnt responded yet, and they told me to call her, so I did and she said she got the email but hasnt had a chance to give them the paper work and was going to do it on thursday or friday of last week. When I called the court yesterday, they said they still havent recieved anything yet, and when I called the P.O. back, her office said she was on vacation untill thursday of this week. What the hell. What can I do to get the probation officer to send my paper work to the court? I have to see her again next tuesday and I want to get off before then, and not have to pay another $50 monthly fee. I am tired of waiting for my probation officer to do this. Even the court said this is a little strange because usually probation officers, not matter how busy, once they get the email, they get the paper work to the court as soon as possible. What messures can I take.
