Red Headlight Housing!!

Being that i have a RR LX i was wondering instead of blacking out the housing what about red? What do you guys think painting the Housing red? Would it even be Legal? i was jus wondering cause everyone seems to stick with clear and black?

i guess as long as it doesnt really affect the way the light beams travel, it shouldnt be illegal... that would look hella sweet... if you do do it, put up some pics
Just the housing being red shouldn't be a problem. You look at some of the Pininnfarinas and Maseratis and the headlight housing is the same color as the car. Like Got Boost said, as long as the beam doesn't appear colored you'll be fine.
its illegal to have color kind tint here in cali, but not sure bout ur headlight idea. seems interestin but u should do more research with that on the law and such before proceeding. take your time and dont juss paint it yet, cuz once u do, u cant take it back which would suck. but im pretty sure they should be LEGAL because u still have ur amber and such on them rite? BUT if the cop does pull u over for that red housing n takes a look at it... he'll try to get u for another mod like having piaa bulbs for example or car is too low.
i read an article in superstreet; sum cops actually measure ur ride height at the spot, but cant remember where this was located.

yea i think i will do the red housing prolly this weekend hopefully ...i haven't really had alot of time lately!
