Unhappy 3 car thiefs

ok so last night three cars got brocken into in my area. all where guys from redliners. civics. one guy had his custom turbo setup stolen, they even took his ECU.

this is freakin me out. although i always park my car inside my garage, i am still scared. i want to have a security system for my garage.

i want to have some kind of alarm on my garage door, so if it openes without my openes it gives a siren or something

any ideas ?

I think the opnly way you would be able to alarm your garage, would be to do up the whole house via ADT or some security company like that.

I think a garage door alarm would work on the same principle as the normal door alarms. Just gotta relocate the sensors. With garage doors that have the infared beam at the bottom, I think you can set it up through that so when the door opens the alarm goes off

Transformer Guy has a good point. maybe you can add a sensor or tap into the garage door sensor. I would call your alarm company and ask them what your options would be.
