Hello ladies and Gents...

Does someone here in the group do Computer upgrades??
I want to upgrade my PC to a 4gigger and Ill probably have to do the Motherboard also....If someone can hook me up with a deal or can do the upgrade for me id really appreciate it..

Im now running an AMD XP 1.6 gigger so all i would need is probably some more ram a chip and a motherboard..
Maybe someone here has great connections for these items..

ciper, i can do the ungrade for you, very easy stuff, but i dont know where to get the parts from.

u will need a new processer, new mother board that supports that processor and new ram

The Ram I have is DDR why would i need other Ram???? maybe ill just buy another 256k stick of DDR to add to it...

just to help you w/ terms so you have more of an idea as to wut ur looking for...

processor speed is in GHZ (gigahertz) not GB like a hard drive (gigabytes) and ram is usually in MB (megabytes) and not Kb (kilobytes) 1024kb = 1mb, so i hope you dont have 256kb ram. :P

im an intel guy myself, I didnt know 4ghz was out. I thought 3.6-3.8 was tops. but I dont follow AMD so I have no idea..

go to newegg.com and pick out a barebone or combo, that should include CPU & MB, you said that you have RAM already... so you won't need that(unless you want faster computer)

replace mobo & cpu yourself or pay someone to do it for you, it's fairy easy...

p.s. if you want fast pc, i would recommend buying new MB, CPU & make sure that memory is in DDR400 or higher... search on newegg for memory, and you can read people's reviews on it as well...

So far Ive decided to get

motherboard d865pearl x intel
Chip intel petium 4Gi 3.0e
Memory like you said DDR400

DDR400 is a minimum.. and make sure its atleast 512mb.. if you can afford a 1gig.. go for it..

get an 80 gig hard drive as a minimum.. they are cheap right now

why'd you get a laptop over rims??? You already have access to a computer.
