Team Capital 7's (Ottawa area thread: version 3)
wow.....some nice posts to read
okay anyone that knows about pullies....if i get them counld't i just get a new battery for my trunk/sub? Would that help? Cuz new batteries dont cost that much so i could just throw one in the trunk and recharge it everyonce in a while. Also i dont use my a/c all the much, but i still wanna be able to use it...so i just lose power to other things like headlights and all that...someone help me....i need to order them soon if i want them.
also i really want to turbo my car, but i want too also have other things done to it. I dont wanna have just a turbo if thats what i decide to do...i would want alot of other mods...but i dont wanna mess around with electrical power...that aint cool....would the unorthodox pullies be better?
Dugman: I saw you're car in centerpoint, near the fountain one day. Blue with purple rims right? I was driving a silver sedan...maybe you saw my car.

okay cool cool...if u ever see a lowerd silver sedan with 17's and front grills muffler and white emblem...dats me!!
Yeah i dont really care about the weight in the trunk...like i can always put the battery somewere else...liki under the seat or something....my sub weighs a ton so weight reduction is not one of my strong points..
tek: i know you have researched about the ur crank pullies...should i get those if i wanna keep my system pumpin?

freddy: i know u have the pullies too...have u noticed any dimming of you're lights etc... I know that the aem pullies underdrive the car, so the the pullie turns less, thuse freeing up power elsewere. So technically you're battery would be charging less, and some accesories wouldnt function to full capacity.
dugman: any other mods done to ur ride?
rbabe: i know u have a kicking system...do u have pullies?

Abe-I like Capital 7's best out of all that you listed! It is personal, down to business, with a touch of intimidation.
Boys-You and your silly vid games, if you not playing one form of pocket pool, you are playing another form of pocket pool! Oh well, silly boys and all their toys works for me!
Baller-You want power or function more? Answer that question for yourself and you shall have your answer. You will still be able to use A/C, but, it WILL NOT WORK any where near as well as it does without pulleys. You can still go bump in the night with pulleys, it will reap havoc on your alternator, but, you can always do an alt. upgrade WITHOUT messing your ECU up and WITHOUT messing your whole car up. And, that is only if you need to do an upgrade! I know you are gonna tell me that you want both power and function, sorry, you can't have it! You can do a really good balancing act with the two. But, if you REALLY WANT POWER, you cannot have function AT ALL. If you really want function, you CANNOT HAVE FULL MIND BLOWING POWER WITH IT. Okay, you can do both, but, you will not have sheer power and utmost function together, it will be a little of both, will that work for you? A second battery will not really help your situation.

Baller-I would never do pulleys for I live on one of the HOTTEST places on earth and every ounce of A/C I have, I NEED! In your case, I WOULD DO THE PULLEYS IN A NEW YORK MINUTE!
PEER PRESSURE!!! AHHHH I WANT TO GET THEM...**** it....i dont even care.....if they suck i can take them off and sell them...if they are good then yahoooooo...they are only 140 bucks so wtvr...not a big waste...well still a waste but you know what i mean. I could get a capacitor also to give my battery a hand...didnt we talk about this already though...i think you said they dont do anything...hmmm...a second battery would help for my system....but not the ac and all that

baller: just go for it, d00d.
the UR pullies are a bit different. you could be the test monkey and give them a shot?
honestly though, my A/C doesn't work as well as others, but it definitely gets cold enough for me to turn it off in the summer heat
it's just when you're idling that you don't wanna have it cranked. I'm scared I'm going to drain the battery. hence, I think I should get some sweet *** gauges!
---
oh my christ. i just got out of a meeting that was over two hours long. man o man. I had to stand up for all of it too...there were no seats
fek.
but...the big big boss man was there, as was a big boss from ozzieland. it was interesting, but dayum, we need more chairs! hehehe

on that topic...anyone see any sweet bewbies lately?
hehehehe jk

the gains might be as much...cuz it replaces the crank pulley.
it's not just underdriving that creates power gains. the fact that they are a fraction of the weight (called "Unsprung weight") gives you significant gains as well.
think of it: you're twirling a baton around your ferry little wrist, or you try to twirl my fat *** around your wrist....which one will go faster?
hehehe
GAINS!
get them! you won't have trouble selling them again!
---
i'm off to civic motors...hopefully i can catch their parts dept before it closes at 6pm!

lol!!! Baller your changing your mind more than a yo-yo pick one damnit hehe j/k good luck with the pullies!
I went to Ottawa Honda today to get my clutch greased, it was great until I started to get home, then it started up again... they told me they are ordering me a new spring, but I doubt that will help. I'm going back tomorrow so they can throw more grease on it.

Right on, Baller! AEM WELCOMES YOU I'm SURE! I seriously DON'T reccomend getting a capacitor UNLESS you AT LEAST get an Optima red or yellow top if not an alt. upgrade and grounds upgrade. However, this is just MY take on it. A second battery will always help with your sound system and all the rest, it is just a pain in the ***. I only use my second battery at meets where I'm pumping my system and not running my car, that way the OEM battery is never touched by my system. However, a second battery will only help if you go with an Optima Deep Cycle for if you just get brand x battery, your alt. will still not be able to keep up with the demand for our alternators are way weak. The Optima Deep Cycle takes care of SOME of the alternators work for it is a deep cycle battery and they just came out with an Optima Deep Cycle that is flush with our cars where as they were not, they used to need a longer cable.

yo Baller: AEM True Powers and maybe a UR crank pulley.
Ok I checked on the Skunk2 site and that intake manifold seems to be the right one.

you cant mix and match the crank pulley with the aem ones...so they say. Yah i know im having a hard time deciding....im like this with eveyrthing...trust me...pharoh: so you are sure that they it is for the 7th gen? That is amazing. I think im going to keep this engine and eventually put a turbo in....i think a swap is much more unrealistic...but a turbo is pretty expensive too.
