NEED HELP, Civic won't start

Hey guys,
First time here, hope I can get some help from you experts.
Here's my situation.
I have a 92 civic, 1.5L that I inherited from a my stupid friend who had driven it without oil and one day could not get it started again and left it at his work.
Long story short.....I got the car and tried to get it going but it wont start.
When I turn the ignition, I hear the main relay click and also hear the fuel pump.
It cranks, almost wants to start but does not.
Put in New distributor and wires, new sparks plugs.
Checked fuel pressure, is fine and did compression check as well.
I get gas and I get sparks, almost wants to go.
I also tried spraying some quick start fluid in the air intake with the throttle open, still no luck.
Checked the timing belt and it looks fine to me.
Also, when I turn on the ignition, the Check Engine Light comes on and turns off in about 3 seconds, so I guess my OBD is operating fine.
I am running out of things to look for, Please HELP.
Anyone who has had this sort of a similer problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
