that is wierd maybe the EL do not have a high resale value as the Civics, which is wierd since both cars are virutally identical other than interior trim, engine specs compared to the dx, lx, and SiR, and body styling. Or it could be the dealer is trying to rip your friend off, which dealership ?

Rep Power: 0 you got 21k for your trade. that's insane. haha. but it's all relative. here's an example.
Moxxiedrum. had a 99 Si, he got 13k for it, mint. I got about the same for my 2k1 Si. but it had some problems. haha. if it was mint i would have probably gotten 15k. But the price they give you on a trade is definatly dependant on what kind of a deal your getting on the new car. if they are asking too much for the replacement vehicle. they can offer you a higher trade in. or vice versa. if your getting an awesome price, you easily get a shitty trade. all that really matters is how much money the dealer makes.
